The Director General of State Interests and Governance Authority, Stephen Asamoah Boateng has disclosed that the founder of Glorious World Power Ministries International Reverend Owusu Bempah is sharing the same cells will seventy others at the Cantonments Police Station following his remand.

He was remanded into police custody for seven days after an Accra High Court denied him bail on Monday, September 13, 2021.

Owusu-Bempah was arrested by the Police for threatening to harm Patricia Oduro, popularly known as Nana Agradaa, and also attacking Police officers.

In an interview with Kofi Adoma Nwanwani on Angel FM’s Anopa Bofo morning show, Asa B, who stated that he will send food to the accused noted that, Owusu Bempah is in the same custody with other inmates.

“He is with about 70 inmates at the Cantonments police cells, yes I said 70, even though it’s strange because I doubt Cantonment cell is that spacious, so with this number I think they’re congested”, he stated.

The former Member of Parliament for the Mfantsiman West constituency of the Central Region however asked Rev. Owusu-Bempah to adjust to the conditions at the cells since there’s no difference in treatment of persons who are sent there.

Stephen Asamoah Boateng continued that, “Owusu Bempah should be a little patient because we [the NPP] have not forgotten him. He will definitely be granted bail but things will take its course through the process of law.”
