The ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) has scheduled April 28 to May 4, 2022 to hold its upcoming Constituency Annual Delegates Conference.
The Conference, according to the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) will be held in the stipulated period despite the upcoming Statutory holidays: May Day and Eid-Ul-Fitr.
A statement issued by the General Secretary of the party, John Boadu, said the decision to slate the event for the selected date was considered by the National Steering Committee in an emergency meeting on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
This is in accordance with Article 10 (10) (1) of the party’s Constitution.
“It is the responsibility of the duly constituted Constituency Election Committee to determine an appropriate day within the given period to conduct the Conference” part of the statement added.
Accordingly, it noted that the election will be held under the supervision of the Electoral Commission of Ghana, in accordance with the Party’s Rules and Regulations.
