The technical handlers of the Black Stars of Ghana have been given a boost to submit 26 players for the 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup, having to increase to 26 players from the initial number of 23.
The increment comes on the back of the latest amendment made by the Bureau of the Council of the Federation of International Football Association, following a proposal made by FIFA President, Gianni Infantino and six other federation heads.
National teams that qualified for past FIFA’s major tournaments were made to present 23 players, but following the new amendments Ghana and its competitors will have the opportunity to add three more players.
Ghana who qualified for their fourth FIFA World Cup tournament has been drawn in Group ‘H’ alongside Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
