Assembly Members of the Ga West Municipal Assembly embarked on a demonstration on Monday, October 24, 2022, over deplorable roads in the area.
The planned exercise begun from three junction through the principal streets of Amasaman and ended at the Municipal Assembly.
Some major roads in the municipality have been left in a deplorable state for quite a long time making life unbearable for residents who ply the stretch especially when it rains.
The deplorable road network links Amasaman from Achiaman, three junction, Obeyeyie, Nsakina, Abease, and Sonitra among others have seen no facelift becoming a major concern to residents and drivers.
This, the assembly members said warrants their planned protest to “exercise their constitutional right of embarking on peaceful demonstrations.”
According to them, they will undertake the exercise to demand their rights to a good and better road network in the municipality.
They served this notice in a statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Ga West Municipal Assembly, Adanyina Ernest
The exercise would be led by one Charles who is an Honourable member of Achiaman Electoral Area.
