The Human Rights Court 2 has lifted the injunction placed the 2022/23 betPwawa Ghana Premier League by the demoted Ashanti Gold SC.

This means the domestic top-flight league which has been on hold for four weeks is expected to resume.

This comes after Ashantigold served the Ghana FA with an injunction following their demotion to Division Two League over match manipulation.

However, after the court adjourned the hearing of the case on two occasions, it today, Tuesday, October 25, dismissed the injunction.

The court further directed Ashantigold to pay a fine worth an amount of GHC20,000 in damages.

The Ghana Football Association has since communicated that the league will resume on the weekends of October 29-30th respectively.
