The Black Stars of Ghana beat Switzerland in its third pre-world cup friendly match ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The Stars recorded a 2-0 win over the Swiss in Abu Dhabi to conclude their FIFA 2022 World Cup preparation before the soccer mundial.
Second half goals from Mohammed Salisu and Antione Semenyo were enough to empower coach Otto Addo’s side in their penultimate friendly.
Otto Addo who rest some key players such as Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey among others fielded a relatively weakened starting eleven for the clash.
Lawrence Ati-Zigi started in post and was protected by a defense which included Tariq Lamptey, Baba Rahman, Daniel Amartey and Salisu Mohammed.
Abdul Salis Samed, Elisha Owusu, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, and Andre Ayew also marshalled the midfield whiles Jordan Ayew and Inaki Williams led the attack for the West African powerhouse.
Accra Hearts of Oak talisman, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who had his first start as a Black Stars player was outstanding in the 62 minutes that he played.
Kamaldeed Sulemana, Kamal Sowah, Daniel Kofi Kyere, Antione Semenyo, Joseph Aidoo and Alidu Seidu were all introduced in the second half.
