Dear Julius Kwasi Debrah,
Greetings from the mouth piece of the gods of Binduri.
It is often said that one man cannot be all things to all people! But once in a lifetime, we meet a man who defies such limitations, a man whose life essence is devoted to the greatest good of the greatest number of people; a utilitarian! a universal!!
We are lucky to have such a man in you. To the administratively sagacious gentleman and a giant of our time, Happy Birthday!!
Sir, if I have the wherewithal, I would have better expressed my feelings of warm regards and respect for you by inserting a full-page-colour newspaper advertorial instead of engaging in this laborious exercise of letter writing, being as it were time-consuming for busy men-of-power such as you are, to be subjected to the rigours of reading poorly crafted letter instead of the poetic renditions often employed by media experts in getting newspaper congratulatory messages, embellished with a pictorial depicting your regal and sartorial grandeur. So, I ask for pardon and entreat you to accept this poor medium as your sacrifice for your teeming millions of the poor masses for whom you are clothed with the office of the ‘Chief of Staff ’. Your entry into the murky waters of Ghanaian politics has established your credentials as a great politician. You have done extremely well, having chalked significant successes as Eastern Regional Chairman, CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority, Eastern Regional Minister, Greater Accra Regional Minister, Local Government Minister and subsequently Chief of Staff in the erstwhile administration of the NDC.
You have weathered many storms, withstood many trials, and stood the test of time in the midst of friends and foes. May you be forever blessed as you mark your 57th year of goodness to humanity on planet earth and still counting; a special day to celebrate you for the many lives you have touched, many destinies you have shaped and the quality of leadership and mentorship you have continously offered to us.
You have long stood for square pegs in square holes when it comes to making leadership choices and you have ignored cliché political disadvantages suffered by many of your protegees and instead elevated them with your mentorship.
You have demonstrated a knack for finding the “rat” which no one sees and have used this forward-thinking ability to lay foundations for buildings whose building blocks were years away from being manufactured.
Driven by a personal insatiable desire for shared-prosperity and keen interest in implementing transformative ideas.With the work and foresight of such leaders, the citizens seize the initiative to transform molecular ideas into gigantic projects and ferry beautiful dreams into the firm bounds of reality whilst building an unbreakable bond with peace, prosperity and development. This is the story of Chief Julius Debrah.
Many owe their successes to God through you. Dr. Jay you spend 365 days attending to people with love and passion.
Many people owe their successes to your magnanimity and accommodating nature. God has been using you to change the lives of so many people.
I can boldly say, many successful people, former appointees inclusive, owe their personal successes to God, but they know and recognize that God did not come down. He used Julius Debrah as a vessel. Dr. Jay, you are the only living politician that I know who attends to people from all walks of life 365 days a year regardless of their tribal, religious and political affiliations.
You are known for your uncanny and unparalleled ability and capacity to identify, spotlight and zero in on talents. You have done that with me; you did same with so many others, which is a mark of leadership. There are so many superlatives that can befit your description today Dr. Jay, but I have to choose a few because next year I need more!
On this occasion I must admit that I do not know of a man or woman, dead or alive, in Ghana, that eats, drinks, walks and sleeps politics 24/7, 365 days; to me, there is only one word to describe somebody like that; someone with that kind of capacity, it’s called a gift, and it’s a gift from God, and that is what God has given him.
Sir, you are a patriot and statesman whose acumen and influence continue to resonate well round the NDC party, our country Ghana and beyond. You have written your name in gold by devoting your life to service and working tirelessly to secure President Mahama victory in 2024.
Your ability to identify, nurture and engage talents is unequalled. Your life has always been about human capital development; a visionary leader; humble, down to earth and generous. You are accommodating, patient, tolerant, forgiving with a rare tenacity to persevere. Builder and lover of youth and all manner of people, progressive minded, knowledgeable, master strategist, sagacious administrator, technocrat and a distinguished politician!
There are men with their names already in the sand of time, there are men whose impact can never be overemphasized; there are men who paid some dues that are difficult for many of us to comprehend. Doctor Jay, you are one of such men and on the list, you are on the top!

_Calling you an icon is a misnomer!_
_Call Julius a Colossus, you have not done justice to the essence of the gentleman in him!_
_Julius is in essence a force of nature, an idea whose time is fast approaching in whose mandate we shall stand._

_You have a strong Anchor and that is God. Life will throw you twists and turns and in those moments of turbulence your anchor always holds!_
_ You’ve a strong support system, Family and friends who stay true and remind you of what life is truly about are invaluable. They always keep you grounded._
_ Your words are wisdom. You are Mr. Superior ideas. Your foot prints are extremely clear wherever you go for two reasons; one for legacy and two, so that those who come after you never have to guess where to step._
