The Central Regional Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Gabriella Tetteh has labelled President Akufo-Addo as someone who has failed in the fight against corruption.
“The bigger problem is that as a country, we have failed in the fight against corruption and under President Akufo-Addo’s regime, we have failed woefully in the fight against corruption…,” she told host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show on Wednesday, 26th July, 2023, the NDC communicator said her claim is backed by statistics from the Transparency International which reveals that Ghana is not doing well in the fight against corrution.
“We have fallen on our global index on the fight against corruption, Nana Addo has disappointed the numerous Ghanaians who had high hopes in him that he can rekindle the fight against corruption…,” she added.
According to Ms Tetteh, Ghanaians would still not be complaining about under-development if the persons in political positions used the monies given them for the intended purposes.
She further lamented that the magnitude of corruption being reported in the Akufo-Addo government has hampered communication by the opposition because “if you don’t take care, your comments will incite people against politicians”.
