Former Central Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Allotey Jacobs has called on flagbearer aspirant of the party, John Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanten to call his campaign spokesperson, Yaw Buaben Asamoah to order.
According to him, the former Trades Minister would lose the NPP Flagbearship slot if Yaw Buaben Asamoa is not called to order and also taught how to effectively campaign for Alan.
Speaking on Angel Morning Show (AMS)Â on Thursday, the former NDC Chair said Yaw Buaben has never polished his political communication and that is something which would cost Alan Kyeremanten in the NPP race.
“He is a stupid boy. Tell him that he is a stupid boy…he is undermining the campaign of Alan Kyeremanten because he talks stupidly…he should learn to behave well,” he told host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.
The veteran politician further added that he has never held shares in the company as he has been a ‘poultry farmer and a hotelier’.
“I am a hotelier and a poultry farmer. I don’t have company or have shares in Ayensu Starch factory. I don’t even know the location of the factory let alone be a board member.
“He is a Lawyer, he should learn to communicate well because this is a way of undermining my credibility…this kind of dirty politics should end, we should learn to tell the truth…,” he said.
He said this when reacting to claims by Yaw Buaben Asamoa that the Ayensu Starch Factory which was started by Alan Kyeremanten under the Presidential Special Initiative (PSIs) under former President John Agyekum Kuffour is doing well.
“The Ayensu Starch factory is doing well, the NDC has sold it to themselves, Allotey Jacobs is even a shareholder…,” he had earlier claimed on the Angel Morning Show.
He mentioned that he does not understand why the NDC after sharing the ownership of the factory would turn around and accuse Alan Kyeremanten of being incumpetent.
