Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale Central, Inusah Fuseini, has condemned the immediate past President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, for what he describes as self-serving appointments.
According to him, the former President intentionally created more ministries that ultimately failed to bring development to the country.
He pointed out that while Ghanaians were facing hardship, these ministers were withdrawing from the consolidated fund.
“When there are too many ministers, you cannot guarantee efficiency, and this does not help bring development to the country. These ministers were not doing anything but made the system harder for Ghanaians; it was just a job for the boys,” he stated.
In an interview with Saddick Adams on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Monday, January 13, 2025, Alhaji Inuah Fuseini said Ghanaians were unhappy with former the President’s administration which appointed 123 ministers.
These ministers, he added, used state properties, like government cars, for their businesses, which he believes wasted resources.
He therefore praised the newly sworn-in President, John Dramani Mahama for cutting down the number of Ministers to save money.
