Ghanaian actor, Nana Yeboah, has raised concerns over the continuous masking of convict, Evangelist Patricia Asiamah, popularly known as Agradaa, during her court appearances.
According to him, the public deserves clarity on why her face is always hidden anytime she is escorted in or out of court.
In a post shared on his social media page, the outspoken actor questioned whether the person being taken to court is indeed Agradaa, since her face is consistently covered.
“Are you guys sure it’s Agradaa they take to court every day? Because I don’t understand why her face is always being covered when she goes to court. Is there something we need to know, or is Agradaa outside the country enjoying life?” he asked.
Nana Yeboah further expressed suspicion about the situation, adding that the practice of masking her face raises more questions than answers.
“Because I don’t understand why they always hide or cover her face with a mask. Could it be that these people are lying to us?” he quizzed.
The actor also compared Agradaa’s treatment to that of other public figures who have faced legal proceedings without their identities concealed.
“We know other people who go to court and their faces are not hidden, like Abronye and Chairman Wontumi. We all see their faces when they go to court, so why is Agradaa’s face always hidden?” he questioned.
Nana Yeboah suggested that the lack of transparency could fuel public doubt about Agradaa’s current whereabouts and legal status.
“As for this one, I won’t agree. It could be that you guys have taken her outside the country and are deceiving us that she’s in prison,” he added.
He concluded by stressing that Ghanaians simply want to see Agradaa’s face in court to confirm she is indeed the one being presented.
“It’s surprising. We want to see her face when she goes to court, if truly she’s the one,” he said.
