In a statement by spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Tony Goodman on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, the Ministry noted that the high-level committee will conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the circumstances and establish the facts.

As part of its investigations, the team will examine the sequence of events, decision-making processes involved, and factors that may have contributed to delays in the provision of emergency care.
The Ministry also indicated that the committee is expected to submit its report and recommendations to the Minister for Health, Mr. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh on or before March 5, 2026.
Ministry of Health has reaffirmed commitment to upholding integrity, strengthening accountability, and ensuring that all health facilities strictly comply with established standards for emergency healthcare delivery.
