Leyden Educational Consultancy UK has donated 30 laptops to the Ghana Prison Service to support inmate and officer education.
The laptops, pre-installed with Alison software, offer over 4,000 online courses aimed at promoting skills development.

This initiative is part of Leyden’s mission to establish learning centers across Ghana’s prisons, with the goal of reducing recidivism by equipping inmates with employable skills.

The donation was received by DDP Edward Ashun, Commanding Officer, on behalf of the Director-General of Prisons, Mrs. Patience Baffoe-Bonnie.

The laptops will support the Think Prisons 360 Degrees initiative, promoting education among inmates and officers.
Founder of Crime Check Foundation, Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng, stated that the pilot project aims to reduce recidivism within six months of inmates’ discharge.

Director-General Mrs. Baffoe-Bonnie thanked Leyden Educational Consultancy for their support and encouraged continued initiatives to enhance inmate rehabilitation.
