Afro Pop and Afo beat singer, Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, known by his stage name Camidoh, has opened up about his relationship with Afro dancehall star Stonebwoy, describing him as a mentor and “big brother” rather than just a friend.
Speaking during an interview on Hitz FM on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, monitored by Angel Online, Camidoh shared how Stonebwoy has consistently supported him, especially during challenging moments in his career.
“A lot of times in 2025, I will call on Stonebwoy knowing that in my absence, he expressed love for me and not just expressing it but actually shown it,” he said.
According to the “Sugarcane” hitmaker, Stonebwoy has gone beyond words by creating opportunities for him. He revealed that there have been instances where the Bhim Nation boss either personally called or asked his management team to offer him performance slots he could not attend.
“There’s been times where he actually calls or gets his manager to call and say there’s this gig over here and I’m not gonna be here, so I want them to give you that bag. Then I’ll go and do it, you know, expecting nothing in return,” Camidoh recounted.
The singer emphasized that such gestures have earned Stonebwoy his utmost respect, making it difficult for him to entertain any negative claims about him.
“I mean, even if 10 times somebody comes and says Stonebwoy doesn’t like me, I will still not take it because this person has fed me, and I will always respect him. So for sure, I will always take advice from him,” he stated.
Camidoh concluded by clarifying the nature of their relationship, noting that while they may not communicate frequently like typical friends, the bond they share is built on respect and guidance.
“I will call him a big brother rather than a friend because we don’t really talk like that. Friends are more casual, and this is more reserved, where I’d call when I need to,” he added.
