The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has announced that all travellers arriving in Ghana will be required to complete a Mandatory Health Declaration Form effective Thursday, November 12, 2026.
The directive, according to the Service, is aimed at strengthening the country’s public health surveillance and preparedness systems, as well as enhancing the monitoring of potential public health risks.
In a press release dated Saturday, November 7, the Ghana Health Service said all passengers travelling to Ghana must complete and submit the Health Declaration Form online before embarking on their journey.
All travellers are required to access the form through the Electronic Health Declaration System at https://ehds.ghs.gov.gh/declaration.
The Service has urged all prospective travellers to ensure that the form is completed prior to departure to avoid disruptions to their travel arrangements.
It has also encouraged airlines, travel agencies and other relevant stakeholders to inform passengers about the new requirement ahead of their journeys.
The Ghana Health Service says the measure is intended to safeguard the health and well-being of both residents and visitors while supporting the country’s efforts to protect public health.
The directive applies to all travellers arriving in Ghana, and the Service has called on the public to comply to ensure a smooth travel process.
