Morgan Nero is gradually cementing himself as a formidable force in the Ghanaian music industry, after earning recognition as one of the five top emerging artistes to be awarded at the 2026 edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMAs).
The Afrobeats and Highlife singer is in contention for the honour on the night of Saturday, May 9, 2026, when the 27th edition of the awards ceremony will be held in Accra.
Morgan Nero’s sensational ‘Agbozume Naomi’ and ‘Biblia me’hit songs have enjoyed a good time on the airwaves, coupled with the musician’s continuous hard work, have earned him this recognition. During the period under review, artiste performed nearly 40 shows nationally and internationally, knocking on all doors to get bigger and better.

The organisers of the TGMAs officially unveiled the shortlist for the Unsung category, highlighting five rising artistes who have stood out among thousands of entries.
The Unsung category, known for spotlighting emerging talents in the Ghanaian music industry, continues to serve as a major platform for up-and-coming acts to gain nationwide recognition.
According to the organisers, the shortlisted artistes demonstrated exceptional potential, creativity, and consistency, earning them a place among the top contenders for this year’s honour.
This year’s event is under the theme “For the people. For the culture. For the music”.
