Ghana’s death toll in relation to the coronavirus pandemic now stands at 144 after five deaths were recorded on July 27.
In it’s regular update, the Ghana Health Service on Friday put the national cases since coronavirus was first recorded in Ghana on March 12 at 26,572 after 447 more cases were added to the national figure.
Greater Accra alone accounts for 14,674 cases, more than half of the national tally. It is followed by the most populous region Ashanti with 5,607 cases.
The North East Region has the least cases reported. It has up to date recorded 9 coronavirus cases.
Meanwhile the total number of recoveries has increased to 22, 915, leaving the active cases at 3, 513.
