Four (4) Ayalolo buses stationed at the State Transport Company (STC) in Kumasi have been gutted by fire.
According to a source that spoke to Kumasi based Angel FM, the buses caught fire around 10:20pm Wednesday night.
The source narrated that the drivers left the STC parking space after retiring the buses at the close of work only to later see smoke emanating from one of the vehicles.
“We couldn’t control the fire and it transferred from one bus to the other. We called fire service to help the situation. When they came, the fire had engulfed and burnt all the four buses”, the source narrated.
Though the cause of the fire is unknown, it is suspected that an electrical fault could have sparked the blaze.
It took the intervention of the Personnel from the Fire Service to control the inferno.
Meanwhile an investigation has been commenced into the matter by officials of the Ghana National Fire Service who managed to save the situation.
