The Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana (JUSAG) has served a notice to embark on a nationwide strike over the review of their salaries and allowances on Thursday, October 28, 2021.
According to them, their actions follow the demand for the assenting and implementation of the judicial council decision on the salary and other allowances for staff of the judicial services
In a statement signed by the president of JUSAG, Mr Alex Nartey said the government had failed to adjust the salaries and allowances of its members as recommended by the Judicial Council in line with the 1992 Constitution.
“The year is getting to a close and nothing has been done about implementation of the said salaries and other allowances,” he said.
He said the strike would be in force until the government implements the decision of the Judicial Council.
The statement henceforth urged all staffs to oblige to the directives of National and Regional Executives of JUSAG to effectively press home their legitimate demands.
