The National Democratic Congress (NDC) plans to capture at least 25 seats in the Greater Accra Region in its bid to win the 2024 general elections.

Out of the 34 seats in the region, the NDC and the governing New Patriotic Party control 20 and 14 respectively; but the NDC is hoping to increase its number to 25.

Electoral history shows that, the party that wins more seats in the region usually wins the presidential election.

To achieve this feat, Joseph Ade-Coker who is the Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the opposition party believes he must be maintained to make their target a dream come true.

He was peaking with with Kwamina Sam Biney on the Anopa Bofo morning show on Angel FM/TV Thursday, November 10, 2022.

“We try to argue that the former President, John Mahama done 4 years, but they took that out of the equation, and they said NDC has done 8 years. Our parliamentary seat from 156 to 106 lost 50 seats so there was a movement in the country that against us.

The chairman who is seeking reelection for the third time, is confident the agenda of NDC to attain 25 seats in the Greater Accra will definitely come to pass as a lead force of the charge because, he is the face of the party.

According to Mr. Ade Coker NDC will definitely reclaim power in the next general elections to rescue Ghanaians of the hardship the NPP government has created because, the opposition party remains the better managers of the economy compared to the NPP.
