Eastern Regional House of Chief President, who doubles as the Paramount Chief (Konor) of Manya Krobo Traditional Council, Nene Sackitey II has admonished Krobo youth to be disciplined and obedient towards chalking successes in life.
The king noted that becoming successful in life demands respect, therefore the youth of today should make self-discipline a topmost priority.
He gave the advice on Monday, April 24, 2023, during the lunch of the 25 years anniversary celebration of his reign as the paramount chief of the area.
The anniversary would be celebrated on the theme “God’s Goodness, impacting society through Chieftaincy”.
Speaking to journalists on the sideline of the launch, His Royal Majesty Nene Sackitey II stressed the importance of the youth upstanding in every sphere of life.
“Mostly to motivate my people especially the youth about what has happened during the 25-years of my reign, I was telling them that it is so important, first, to be law-abiding, listen to your parents, do what you suppose to do, and you will make it in life,” he stated.
The Konor II having reigned for 25 years as the traditional leader of Manya Krobo ascended the throne in 1997 and has since risen to become the president of the Eastern Regional House of Chiefs.
On his part, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Lower Manya Krobo Municipality called on Krobos from all walks of life to rally their support behind the overlord king to enable him to bring more developments to the area with his rank.
