The first units of 12 modern trains for Ghana Railways to operate both regional and long-distance lines are on their way from Poland.
They are due in Ghana by mid February.
The framework contract with the Ghanaian Railways covers 12 diesel multiple units, with 10 vehicles being an option for the ordering party.
The vehicle is technically similar to the RegioFox vehicles that Bydgoszcz produces for Czech Railways, a post shared on X by @TheTPatriots on Friday, August January 19, 2024.

Ultimately, production of the first vehicle was confirmed in September this year.
According to “RK” information, the first vehicle is already undergoing final tests at the factory in Bydgoszcz (it was photographed there by railway enthusiast Michał Bis); the new diesel multiple unit may be on its way to Africa before the end of January 2024.
