The Member of Parliament (MP) for Asante Akim North, Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi, has called on President-Elect John Dramani Mahama to focus on placing experienced statesmen in the right positions to yield the right results in his administration.
Speaking in an interview on Angel FM’s morning show hosted by Saddick Adams (Obama) on January 6, 2025, Lawyer Appiah-Kubi emphasized that simply having capable individuals within the party is not enough guarantee of success.
Appiah-Kubi stressed that while Mahama may have capable people around him, their effectiveness depend on proper placements.
“Having the men alone is not enough. You need to place them in the rightful places and rightful positions; otherwise, you won’t get the right results. If you deploy the wrong people, you won’t see the desired outcomes. I expect Mahama to think of the nation first and recognize that his mandate is to develop the country,” Appiah-Kubi remarked.
His comments highlight growing public interest in how Mahama’s leadership team will be composed and the importance of ensuring that appointments reflect a balance between political loyalty and professional competence.
As Mahama prepares to assume office, the nation eagerly awaits his key appointments, which are expected to set the tone for his administration’s performance and effectiveness in addressing national challenges.
