Ghanaian music artist, Keche Joshua, says his team would rather feature Ghanaian stars on their upcoming “Pana” remix than collaborate with Nigerian dancehall artist Patoranking.
Speaking in an interview on Hitz FM on Monday, September 8, 2025, Joshua explained that his preference for Black Sherif, Kuami Eugene, and Patapaa. From his belief, Nigerians do not embrace Ghanaian artists with the same energy Ghanaians extend to them.
“When it comes to Ghana, I believe that we don’t know our wealth. The Nigerians are using their minds on us because anytime they bring a song to be featured here, they know Ghanaians will warmly welcome them. They always say Ghana is a family, but when you go to their country, we are not like family to them,” he said.
He further expressed concern over the imbalance in support between the two nations.
“The way we project them, they don’t do it like that when we go there,” Joshua added.
According to him, the Ghanaian music industry is powerful enough to thrive without relying heavily on foreign features.
“I believe that Ghana, we are strong, but we don’t know our wealth. We always think we have to feature other countries’ artists before it will work for us,” he stressed.
