Entertainment pundit, Vida Adutumwaa Boateng, has appealed to the family and factions involved in the ongoing conflict surrounding the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba, urging them to allow peace to prevail in order to protect the legacy he left behind.
Speaking during an interview, Vida expressed concern over the public disputes between allies of his two wives, Team Odo Broni and Team Akosua Serwaa, stating that, their actions are gradually tarnishing the reputation of the celebrated musician.
“What concerns me now is the legacy Lumba left behind. There’s nothing protecting it now. And even those who didn’t know his history are now talking badly about him on their live streams,” she lamented.
She criticized the behavior of the groups allegedly representing the two sides, describing their recent courtroom conduct as disgraceful.
“See what the so-called team went to do at the court….backlashing and doing all sorts of things. I’m not saying they should stop, but the person they are fighting for, they are tarnishing his image.”
Vida further questioned the impact of the ongoing feud on the government’s willingness to honor the late legend.
“Right now if the government wants to do something for Lumba they won’t… because who are they going to see? Is it the Abusuapanin or the two teams they will have to discuss with?,” she questioned.
She stressed that the dispute is not only damaging the family’s public image but also destroying the dignity and legacy of Daddy Lumba.
“Why won’t the family realise they are rather tarnishing the image of Daddy Lumba? What lesson will one learn after hearing Lumba’s name?,” she asked.
Vida concluded by passionately pleading for unity and peace.
“I plead everything ends and peace will reign,” she pleaded.
