The Eastern North Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in a successful intelligence-led operation in Kwahu Nkwatia.
The operation, carried out on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, targeted known drug peddling spots and criminal hideouts in Nkwatia Township and surrounding communities.
The suspects, Kwame Asomani (27), Kwasi Dwamena (25), and Kwadwo Ofori (45), were arrested at different locations.
At Kwayeano, police recovered 46 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be narcotic drugs.
Asomani and Dwamena were arrested at an estate near Nkwatia SDA School with similar substances. Ofori was arrested at Aduamoah for possessing 10 rounds of BB ammunition without lawful authority.
All three suspects are in police custody, assisting with investigations while the retrieved exhibits are secured pending forensic analysis.
