Voting is underway at the Dunkwa Atechem Police Station polling centre in the Upper Denkyira East Constituency, with 831 delegates expected to cast their ballots in the NPP presidential primary.
The exercise, which began at 7:01 a.m., has been peaceful and orderly, according to the Constituency Director of the Electoral Commission.
As of 8:12 a.m., over 90 delegates had cast their votes.
Security is tight, with 75 police personnel deployed to the centre, led by DSP Simon Boavo, the Dunkwa-on-Offin Municipal Police Commander.
“No incidents have been recorded so far,” he assured.
The voting process is expected to continue as scheduled.
