Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has received a delegation from Hwaseong, South Korea, led by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

The mission is set to strengthen trade, investment, and industrial cooperation with Ghanaian companies.
In her statement, Madam Opoku-Agyemang said the government aims to position Ghana more prominently in global value chains by shifting from import reliance to attracting investments along production lines, enabling meaningful domestic manufacturing.

She highlighted Ghana’s youthful population as a strategic advantage and stressed the need to harness this talent to drive productivity and innovation.
She praised South Korea’s fisheries training schools and research centres as exemplary models and expressed Ghana’s readiness to collaborate in sectors such as manufacturing, agribusiness, skills development, and technology.

Madam Opoku-Agyemang also noted the delegation’s engagements with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre and the Ekumfi constituency, emphasizing human-centred cooperation that promotes shared prosperity and global peace.

She affirmed that Ghana remains open to truly collaborative and sustainable partnerships as a path to secure long-term economic growth and resilience.
