Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah, has described the Africa Prosperity Dialogue as a platform where Africa’s future is shaped through actionable reforms rather than abstract debate.
Speaking at the event on Friday, February 6, 2026, Mr. Debrah emphasized that the continent’s economic integration can only achieve its full potential if it is inclusive in design and relentless in execution.
He highlighted the conference as a space where policy meets capital, enterprises meet opportunity, and ideas are tested against practical implementation.
From the perspective of the Government of Ghana, Mr. Debrah reiterated the country’s strong commitment to Africa’s economic integration.
“Ghana is proud to hold the secretariat of ACETA to champion the practical reforms that make trade possible in the real world through reducing non-tariff barriers, improving logistics, and investing in industrial and digital infrastructure,” he said.
Echoing President John Dramani Mahama, he reminded African leaders that the continent’s free trade ambitions will not succeed on declarations alone but must be supported by deliberate investment in infrastructure, efficient institutions, and productive capacity.
“African continental free trade will not succeed on declaration alone, it must be supported by deliberate investment in infrastructure, efficient institutions and productive capacity,” he reaffirmed.
