Nigerian Afropop singer, Augustine Uche, known as Spotless, has revealed his fondness for Wizkid.
Speaking on “Y’adwuma nie” on Angel FM on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, he stated that Wizkid has been his mentor since he was young.
“I would say Wizkid, and also my brother Tekno. The reason I mention them is that we saw ourselves in them as young kids growing up in the music industry.
“And we really wanted to be like him. It was a dream of mine to work with him, and when I walked up to him, I wasn’t surprised because I was prepared,” he said, adding that he was featured in WizKids’ “Sokpo” hit.
According to him, their success is an inspiration to him and other upcoming artists.
“One thing you have to understand is that you can learn from everyone; their success serves as inspiration for us musicians who are still emerging.
“So you have to take lessons from Wizkid, Davido, and Burna Boy, personally, I am a huge fan of Burna Boy,” he pointed out.
Spotless highlighted that he is a music producer, songwriter, and artist himself, stating that he has produced for Wizkid before.
“I produced for him, I have written for him, I’ve been featured in his songs. I’m a music producer, songwriter, and artist, and I play music as well,” he said.
