Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) has donated items to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu, in support of the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr celebration, reaffirming its commitment to community and religious harmony.
Spearheaded by Managing Director, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, and the Acting Deputy Managing Director of CBG, Sheila Azuntaba, presented packs of bottled water and cans of malt, gallons of oil, bags of rice, among other necessities.

Speaking at the event held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, Sheila Azuntaba emphasized that the donation is intended to reflect a profound sense of love and to strengthen the spirit of patriotism.
She highlighted that the impact of the festive prayers is expected to have a significant impact on women and the nation.

“We came here because, since it is in the month of Ramadan, we have to come and greet the Chief Imam, for their prayers has guided the nation,” she said.
The spokesperson for the Chief Imam, Sheikh Armi Yaw Shaibu, expressed sincere gratitude to the donor, noting that the Ramadan season is a time for self‑cleansing from wrongdoing and undesirable behavior.

He further urged the youth to use the period of Ramadan as a catalyst for positive change and for contributing to national development.
“What I want, especially from the youth, is for them to apply the lessons they learned during the Ramadan season to improve their behavior,” Sheikh Armi Yaw Shaibu added.
