The paramount chief (Omahene) of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI, has announced that the Gomoa Traditional Area has donated ten acres of land to the Gomoa Easter Carnival.
Speaking at the Gomoa Easter Carnival in Gomoa Akwamkrom, he said the landmark donation will provide a large space to enhance the smooth running of the festival in future years.

He emphasised that he and the other chiefs have embraced the festival, given it their full support, and promised to assist in any way they can to ensure it is celebrated every year.
“I have discussed it with my chiefs and because we want everyone who will come to the festival with a car to get space to park their cars, we give 10 acres of land to Gomoa Easter carnival for free, we will show you where the land is to start preparing so that next year by this time we can get a vast space to make the festival stay,” he stated.
He noted that the festival will create employment for young people, boost income for local businesses, and bring development to the Gomoa Traditional Area and the Central Region as a whole.
He also commended the Gomoa Central Member of Parliament (MP), Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus), for organising the event and for his vision for the district, vowing not to let him down.
“I stand on behalf of all my chiefs, we say thank you Kwame Asare Obeng, we promise that we won’t let your efforts go in vain, we will support you.
“Gomoa East carnival has come to stay, Gomoa Easter has been launched,” he said.
