Ghanaian hiplife musician, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah, popularly known as Mzbel, has dismissed circulating rumours about her, describing them as completely false.
She made this remark in an interview on United Showbiz on Saturday, April 4, 2026, the singer clarified that reports suggesting any form of interaction between her and King Promise are untrue.
According to Mzbel, although she has seen King Promise before, they have never had any communication or worked together in the studio.
“I have seen King Promise before, but we’ve never spoken or been to the studio together, although I had plans to collaborate with him in the future,” she stated.
The “16 Years” hitmaker further revealed that she first learned about the trending claims through fellow musician Sister Derby, who sent her the story.
Mzbel admitted she initially dismissed it as a joke.
“I was there when Sister Derby sent me the trending news, and I thought it was a prank. When I saw it, I was surprised. I assumed it was from a small blog, but people kept sending it to me, and some even questioned me about it,” she explained.
She added that the situation escalated as people began calling her out over the alleged claims.
“People called me to scold me, others insulted me. Thinking about it, I don’t remember saying anything like that,” she said.
In response, Mzbel said she turned to her followers for help in tracing the source of the misinformation. According to her, the individual responsible has since reached out to her team to apologise.
“I made a public notice for my followers to help me trace the source. The person later contacted my team, admitted the news was picked from elsewhere, and apologised publicly on their page,” she revealed.
