President John Dramani Mahama, founder of the Accra Reset Initiative, is co-chairing the High-Level segment of the global One Health Summit alongside French President Emmanuel Macron.

The Summit has brought together world leaders, health ministers and global experts to advance solutions for stronger health systems, sustainable food production and coordinated international action against emerging global health threats.

President Mahama is expected to deliver two keynote addresses during the event.
His first keynote will be presented during a session on Global Health Architecture, co-chaired by President Macron and the Director-General of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

The session will focus on reforms to global health initiatives and the endorsement of a Political Declaration aimed at strengthening international health cooperation.

President Mahama’s second keynote will open the High-Level segment for heads of state and government, where he will outline Ghana’s vision and commitments on global health security.

He is also expected to highlight Ghana’s leadership in promoting collaborative, cross-sectoral solutions to address emerging health threats, in line with the One Health approach, which connects human, animal and environmental health.
