The Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP) has supported Harriet Amuzu, a survivor of domestic abuse, as she navigates her recovery process.
Following reports of the abuse last year, the Ministry intervened, leading to her rescue and the initiation of legal proceedings.
The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey has personally engaged Ms. Amuzu, reaffirming the government’s commitment to her safety and well-being.

Ms. Amuzu is receiving comprehensive support, including psychosocial care, guidance, and livelihood support, to help her regain independence.
“Our responsibility doesn’t end at rescue; we’re committed to walking with survivors every step of the way,” Madam Lartey said.
The case is currently before the court, with the Ministry pushing for accountability and justice.
