The Inspector-General of Police has deployed a special team of operational officers and armoured vehicles to Gushegu and Karaga to beef up security following recent clashes in the town.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday, April 15, the team will work with officers of the Northern Regional Police Command to intensify patrols and enhance security in the towns and surrounding communities.
According to the Service, the deployment is a part of a larger effort to stabilize the situation and reassure locals as security operations continue.
