The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) James Oppong-Boanuh has made a second major shakeup within the service barely two weeks after some at the top hierarchy were reshuffled.
The latest re-postings affected 45 senior officers mostly at the regional and divisional commands across the country.

The postings take effect from August 10, 2020, a correspondence dated July 28 from the IGP to the various commands marked “restricted” has said.
The statement also noted that some of the senior officers that were hitherto reassigned have their letters cancelled or varied.
Majority of the posted were attached to the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service including the Central Regional Crime Officer, Chief Supt. Reuben Asiwoko, who has been at the forefront of the recent shooting incident involving the MP for Awutu Senya East, Mavis Hawa Koomson, who doubles as the Minister of Special Development Initiatives.
