Management of Ghana Water Company (GWCL) has announced that supply to North Eastern Accra would be interrupted on Wednesday, August 5, 2020.
According to the GWCL, this is to make way for repair works at the Kpong Treatment Plant which serves water to consumers in the above-mentioned area.
“Communities that are likely to be affected include; Dodowa, Frafraha, Adenta, Ogbojo, Madina, Ashaley Botwe, Adjirinano, East Legon, Agbogba, Haatso, Atomic, Ashongman, Dome, and other surrounding communities,” a notice from the water company noted.
The release said service will, however, be restored on Thursday, August 6.
“Management of GWCL, therefore, wishes to inform members of the general public as well as institutions or organisations within the affected areas to bear with the situation and store enough water ahead of the shutdown.
“Management of GWCL wishes to assure the general public that GWCL Engineers will work within the time period and supply will resume immediately works are completed.
“Management of GWCL regrets the inconvenience that the interruption may cause to the consuming public.”
