The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) cautioned the public against fraudsters who impersonate its personnel to scam them of their money.
An notice published on the company’s official social media pages warned advised members of the public to desist from making any form of payments demanded through phone calls.
The ECG noted that the company does not require people to make payments for their services through phone calls and therefore, advised the public against the prey of the scammers.
The management further entreated its customers to report such incidents to the security agencies or nearest ECG office, when they encounter such things.
