The Presidential Staffer at Jubilee House, Beatrice Annan Esq, has announced that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government will construct hospitals at the district level to provide quality healthcare to citizens.
According to her, President John Dramani Mahama will ensure that state funds are used wisely and effectively. She emphasised the necessity to continue some of the Agenda 111 projects.
Speaking on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Monday, October 27, hosted by Saddick Addams, Madam Annan stated that while Agenda 111 was championed by the previous government, many of the projects existed only on paper and had not materialised.
She pointed out that districts would be held accountable for the lack of visible progress on some Agenda 111 initiatives.
Madam Annan called on all Ghanaians to support President Mahama’s vision to “reset Ghana.”
She outlined several achievements of President Mahama during his first 10 months in office, including the stabilisation of the dollar to the cedi, payment of debts related to the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), reductions in goods and prices, and improvements in transportation.
“We are no more in the bleeding system,” she stated.
On the issue of illegal mining, commonly known as Galamsey, the Presidential Staffer urged Ghanaians not to politicise the matter, as it poses a risk to all citizens.
She noted that during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) era, many illegal miners were associated with the NPP, which allowed the then-opposition NDC to politicise the issue.
However, she asserted, “today no NDC member is involved with Galamsey.”
