American Christian music legend, Don Moen, has paid a heartfelt tribute to fellow gospel musician and pastor Ron Kenoly following news of his passing.
In a post shared on social media, the singer, songwriter, pastor, and worship music producer reflected on their first meeting and the deep bond they built over decades of ministry and music.
Don Moen recalled meeting Ron Kenoly for the first time at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California, where Kenoly was leading worship. He said he was so moved by the experience that he invited Kenoly, on behalf of Integrity Music, to lead worship for a Hosanna! Music project that later became the iconic album Jesus Is Alive.
“That was just the beginning,” Moen wrote, noting that the two went on to collaborate on several projects, share platforms across the world, and form a lasting friendship.
Quoting scripture, Moen described Kenoly as a faithful servant, adding that although his heart is heavy over the loss, he holds on to the hope of seeing his friend again one day.
“Well done, good and faithful servant,” he wrote.
