Family members, close friends and fans of late Ghanaian musician, Ebony Reigns, gathered at her final resting place on Sunday, February 8, 2025, to mark the eighth anniversary of her passing.
The solemn ceremony was filled with prayers, reflection and emotional moments as loved ones paid tribute to the artiste whose music and legacy continue to resonate years after her death.
Speaking at the cemetery, Ebony Reigns’ father delivered a heartfelt message, his voice heavy with emotion as he addressed his late daughter.
“You and I have a bond, don’t worry. This is your mum, your siblings and loved ones. They are here to have an encounter with you now in my name,” he said tearfully.
Family members described the late singer as a bright spirit whose impact transcended music, noting that her confidence, talent and fearless expression continue to inspire many young people across the country and beyond.
The remembrance ceremony also saw moments of quiet reflection, as attendees laid flowers and offered prayers in her honour.
Ebony Reigns, born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, died in a fatal road accident in 2018. Though gone, her music and influence remain deeply rooted in Ghana’s entertainment industry, with fans continuing to celebrate her contributions to Afrobeat and dancehall music.
