Management of the 37 Military Hospital in Accra has reportedly refunded money that staff compelled personnel of the Ghana National Ambulance Service to pay, before attending to an accident victim.

The payment was made by the Greater Accra Regional Administrator of the Ambulance Service, Daniel Asare, through mobile money transfer.
However, after the media house exposed the ‘illegal’ gesture of the military hospital, management refunded the money.
“Management of the 37 Military Hospital says they have refunded the money their staff took from Ambulance service personnel to create folder for an accident victim before admitting him,” the source said.
The development raises concerns about extortion and corruption-related practices contributing to the health sector crisis.
Similarly, another incident has reportedly occurred at the Adabraka Polyclinic.
