Former Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, George Mireku Duker, has been accused of making false claims about the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Engineers and Planners (E&P), a company owned by Ibrahim Mahama.
Mireku Duker had stated on Asempa FM that E&P had not undertaken any CSR projects in Tarkwa, despite being operational in the area for several years.
However, it has emerged that E&P has funded several projects in the area, including an 8-unit classroom block for Tarkwa Nursing and Midwifery, a 200-seater ICT laboratory, and an auditorium.

The company has also donated 1,000 bags of Dzata Cement for the construction of ancillary facilities.
The projects were reportedly completed and handed over in 2024.
Mireku Duker’s comments have sparked controversy, with some questioning his claims and suggesting he may have been misinformed or ill-informed about E&P’s activities.
