President John Dramani Mahama has met with members of the Diplomatic Corps at the Presidency.
He emphasized Ghana’s commitment to democracy, human rights, and sustainable development.

Addressing the diplomats, President Mahama highlighted Ghana’s strides in restoring macroeconomic stability, including fiscal discipline, reduced inflation, and a stabilized currency.

He outlined initiatives to promote growth, such as the Ghana Gold Board, Big Push Infrastructure Agenda, and the 24-Hour Economy policy.

The President reaffirmed Ghana’s commitment to regional integration, good neighborliness, and finding African solutions to African problems.

He announced plans to table a resolution at the UN to recognize the transatlantic slave trade as a crime against humanity.

Foreign Affairs Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa expressed appreciation for the Diplomatic Corps’ support, highlighting Ghana’s commitment to good neighborliness and regional integration.

The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Imane Quaadil, praised Ghana’s peaceful democratic transition and leadership in promoting regional peace and security.
