StarOil Ghana has donated GH¢1 million to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service to support the construction of a three-storey, ultra-modern office complex.
The donation was presented at the Police Headquarters in Accra on Tuesday, 13 October 2026.
Speaking during the presentation, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of StarOil, Mr. Kwame Tieku, highlighted the company’s collaboration with the Police Service in supporting security at its fuel stations.
He explained that StarOil had adopted remote intelligence and monitoring systems, replacing the physical deployment of security personnel at its stations.
According to Mr. Tieku, their support of the police remains essential, and acknowledged the Service’s contribution to safeguarding the company’s operations.
Receiving the donation, the Director-General of the CID, Commissioner of Police Lydia Yaako Donkor, expressed appreciation to StarOil and thanked the company’s management for supporting the project.
The complex, currently under construction, is expected to provide detention facilities and office accommodation for the department upon completion.
