The Ghana Education Service (GES) has commenced investigations into an alleged assault on a final-year student of Techiman Senior High School by two teachers of the institution.
The development follows the circulation of a video on social media showing the alleged assault on the student.
In a statement released on Saturday, October 31, 2026, GES identified the teachers involved as Mr Jerry Jones Owusu Bekoe and Mr Adusa Ameyaw.
According to the Service, the school’s disciplinary committee has held its initial hearing into the matter, with its findings expected to be submitted to management through the Regional Directorate in the coming days.
The affected student, identified as Seedorf Abeka Ampah, a final-year Agricultural Science student, has since received medical attention and is responding positively to treatment.
GES further disclosed that the outcome of the committee’s findings will inform subsequent actions and decisions on the matter.
Management has appealed to the general public to remain calm as meticulous investigations continue into the alleged incident.
