President Nana Akufo-Addo has declared seven days of national mourning in memory former Ghanaian President, Jerry John Rawlings, who died Thursday, November 12, 2020.
Nana Akufo-Addo in a statement has also directed that all flags should fly at half mast for the seven-day period.
Mr. Rawlings died at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness at the age of 73 years.
Meanwhile, government says it will work closely with the family of the late former president in order to organise a befitting state funeral in his honour.
