Zambians are apologising to Ghanaians after President John Dramani Mahama’s traditional fugu smock was mocked as a “blouse” during his recent visit to the country.
The apology, posted by ZED Students POWER, a Zambian youth group, has on Facebook, reads: “Dear Ghana… I would like to sincerely apologize on behalf of all Zambians. We are your young brothers and sisters.”
The remark sparked cultural discussions about traditional Ghanaian fashion and international perceptions of African attire.
