A statement released by the Assembly indicated that the suspects were apprehended on Monday, March 16, 2026, at a sanitation site behind the Ashtown Post Office.
The Assembly explained that the suspects whose identities have not been disclosed have been handed over to the Kumasi Central Police Station for further investigation.
According to KMA, items seized during the operation included substances believed to be Indian hemp, a locally manufactured pistol, packets of cigarettes, various hard drugs, boxes of “Mashallah” (Ataya), cash, and other potentially harmful materials.
